There are different ways to create a new order, below we propose the two main ways:
- Creation of the order by inserting a product
- Creation of the order on the Table from the Rooms and Tables module
- Creation of the command from list view of Rooms and Tables
Creation of the order by inserting a product
From the Orders module, you can create a new order by selecting any item from the product catalog. The Name of the order is automatically filled in with a progressive number, but you can change it as you prefer at any time .
Once done, you will be asked what kind of order to create: "Normal", "Take away" or "Home delivery".
Take away
In the case of "Takeaway" you can also enter the date and time of delivery and after confirmation , you will be prompted to select a customer.
if the selected customer has the "Shipping address" field filled in, you will be prompted to select an address, or "No delivery". Otherwise you can add an address by pressing on in the following window:
Entering the shipping address you will be re-proposed the selection. If confirmed, the address will also be printed on the order.

Home delivery
In the case of "Home delivery" it will be possible to add further information such as the delivery time, the sales channel ( see our guide for creating and managing sales channels ), and order identifier.
Pressing on channel it will be possible to enter the channel from which the order was received
Once you have filled in all the information and confirmed , also in this case you will be asked to select a customer.
If the selected customer has the "Shipping address" field filled in, you will be prompted to select an address, or "No delivery". Otherwise you can add an address by pressing on in the following window:
Entering the shipping address you will be re-proposed the selection. If confirmed, the address will also be printed on the order.
At the top right of the command screen it will be possible to view all the information entered.
Creating the order from the Rooms and tables module
Alternatively, you can create a new order by selecting a free table, with multiple orders, or by clicking on the appropriate "Takeaway" or "Home delivery" buttons from the Rooms and Tables module.
By pressing on the appropriate icons located at the bottom right:

By selecting a single command table, you will proceed directly to the creation.
On a table with multiple orders, before proceeding to create the order, the screen with all the orders inside the table will appear, it will be possible to create a new one by pressing the button
In this specific case there will be no "Type" option in the creation phase.
The number of seats will be preset, based on what was decided during the creation of the table ( Creating and modifying tables ). You can still modify it when creating the order.
To confirm the creation of the command, press the key .
Once done, above the list with the contents of the order, you can view the name, any room / table and the relative number of seats.

By selecting the icon located at the top, in the orders screen, it will be possible to view a list of Rooms and Tables, with the possibility of creating new orders by pressing on the free tables, or by clicking on "new order" by selecting "Takeaway" or "Delivery"
